Jewellery and watchmaking increasingly move through the same creative territory. Timepieces today are expected to do considerably more than tell time; they function as objects of design, personal expression, and craftsmanship. According to recent industry estimates from the global luxury watch and jewelry sector, colored gemstones and gem-set creations continue experiencing significant growth, with demand for collectible and heritage-inspired pieces increasing by more than 20% among luxury consumers over recent years. Technical precision remains important. Yet emotional value and visual character increasingly shape desire as well. And when a watch begins carrying the spirit of vintage cocktail jewelry, does it remain a timepiece alone?
Jaeger-LeCoultre now expands the creative universe of its Reverso Tribute Monoface through five new “Or Deco” interpretations that continue exploring the relationship between watchmaking, jewelry, and Art Deco elegance. Following the success of the Reverso Tribute Monoface Small Seconds Or Deco in 2025, the Maison introduces a broader family of creations where color, gemstones, and historical references move into a more expressive territory.

At the center of the new releases stands the Reverso Tribute Monoface Small Seconds Or Deco Cocktail, introduced through three highly exclusive variations inspired by the gem-set cocktail watches that flourished during the Art Deco era of the 1920s and 1930s. Produced in editions limited to only thirty pieces each, the trio appears in 18K pink gold with rubies and in 18K white gold featuring either emeralds or blue sapphires. Vintage glamour immediately enters the conversation, though interpreted through a considerably sharper contemporary lens.
Each piece features forty-six baguette-cut gemstones positioned above and below the dial, amplifying the Reverso’s unmistakable geometry. Their placement creates a striking visual rhythm alongside polished gold surfaces and Milanese bracelets while introducing rich color contrasts against the textured matte-grained dials. The effect feels highly architectural. Geometry and light begin interacting continuously.
The gemstone work itself reveals another level of craftsmanship. Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Métiers Rares™ atelier applies rail setting, a highly specialized “invisible setting” technique perfected during the 1930s. The process requires extraordinary precision. Gem-setters construct microscopic rails beneath the stones, sliding each baguette-cut gem into place and securing it through carefully folded gold edges invisible to the eye.

The technical challenge becomes particularly complex through the stones themselves. Emeralds, for example, demanded an especially delicate approach because of their natural fragility. Each gemstone required exceptional precision throughout handling and placement, ensuring the continuity of color while preserving the integrity of the material itself. The result creates uninterrupted lines of color and light extending seamlessly across the case.
Alongside the cocktail editions arrives another expression of restraint: the Reverso Tribute Monoface Or Deco in white gold. Here, monochromatic simplicity replaces ornamentation, introducing another side of the collection entirely. Vintage references remain present, though expressed through a quieter visual language.
The collection also introduces the Reverso Tribute Monoface Or Deco Solo Tempo in pink gold — a more compact and highly versatile interpretation returning to the essence of timekeeping itself. Removing the small seconds complication creates a cleaner dial and a stronger sense of reduction. Measuring 39 x 21 mm, the proportions move closer than ever to the dimensions of original Reverso models from the 1930s.
Its monochromatic pink gold identity, free from decorative excess, gives the watch a distinctly universal quality. Designed for wrists of every size, the silhouette feels equally natural across masculine and feminine styling. Inside, Jaeger-LeCoultre’s manually wound Calibre 822 provides a forty-two-hour power reserve while maintaining the slim 7.56 mm profile.
