Giorgio Armani Mare Celebrates the Spirit of Summer

by s.elective

Summer has become one of the brand’s defining themes, expressed through relaxed tailoring, natural colours, lightweight fabrics, and destinations that represent the international luxury lifestyle. Each season, the Giorgio Armani Mare project transforms this vision into a journey that connects fashion with travel, gastronomy, sailing, and some of the world’s most celebrated coastlines. For 2026, that journey once again travels across the Mediterranean, stopping at destinations that continue to shape the rhythm of the European summer.

The Giorgio Armani Mare tour began in Porto Cervo from 26 to 30 May during the fifth edition of the Giorgio Armani Superyacht Regatta, one of the Mediterranean’s leading sailing events organised by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda. Returning for a second consecutive year, the customised yacht Sørvind by Giorgio Armani joined the competition as a tribute to the title sponsorship, while a dedicated Giorgio Armani Mare pop-up store in Piazza Azzurra introduced visitors to the latest summer collection. The tour then continued to Cannes, where the terrace of Armani/Caffè was transformed for the occasion, before moving to Bagni Roberto in Forte dei Marmi and concluding in Mykonos. The Greek island marked another important milestone for the brand with the opening of Giorgio Armani’s first boutique in Greece on 28 May. Located within Nammos Village overlooking the famous Psarou Beach, the boutique occupies one of the country’s most prestigious luxury shopping destinations. The interior follows a carefully developed architectural concept combining carved wood, woven coconut details, warm natural materials, and decorative elements inspired by the island itself. Grey and turquoise palm motifs, now closely associated with the Giorgio Armani Mare project, create a recognisable visual identity that returns from season to season across different destinations.

The Giorgio Armani Mare 2026 collection continues the house’s long-standing preference for relaxed silhouettes and lightweight fabrics designed for summer travel. Soft shades of blue, neutral colours, and coral pink define the women’s wardrobe, while the men’s collection introduces earthy tones complemented by accents of lavender and hydrangea. The Giorgio Armani Vela line expands the offering with technical menswear inspired by sailing and produced in colours recalling sand and the sea. This season also introduces a series of destination T-shirts celebrating places closely connected with the Armani summer lifestyle, including Forte dei Marmi, Pantelleria, Saint-Tropez, Capri, the Hamptons, Ibiza, Mykonos, and Porto Cervo. The accompanying campaign, photographed at the historic Villa Cimbrone in Ravello, places the collection within one of Italy’s most celebrated coastal settings. Beyond fashion, Giorgio Armani continues to support environmental initiatives through its partnership with the One Ocean Foundation, first introduced in Porto Cervo in 2023. The collaboration supports the Blue Forest project, dedicated to protecting Posidonia oceanica, a marine plant essential to the Mediterranean ecosystem. Through this long-term initiative, the Armani Group continues to support biodiversity, marine conservation, and the protection of coastal environments that have inspired the house for decades.
